From our founding to today, PACCLI has served as a bridge between Peru and the United States, creating opportunities for business, culture and community.
Where our story began
The Peruvian American Chamber of Commerce of Long Island was created to connect entrepreneurs, professionals, businesses, government institutions and community leaders while strengthening commercial and economic relations between Peru and the United States.
PACCLI was founded by José Paredes, Linda DiLeo and Víctor Arena. The Chamber's institutional records state that the organization was officially registered as a nonprofit organization in New York on October 26, 2006.
From its earliest years, PACCLI has served as a bridge between Peru, Long Island, New York and the broader United States. Its mission has grown to include entrepreneurship, professional development, networking, education, community engagement and international trade opportunities.
Our journey
2006
José Paredes, Linda DiLeo and Víctor Arena established PACCLI with a vision of connecting business, government and community leaders. Institutional records state that the Chamber was officially registered in New York on October 26, 2006.
2006–2023
Across successive administrations, PACCLI expanded its work in networking, business education, professional resources, community engagement and connections between Peru and the United States.
2022–2023
PACCLI's anniversary publication documented the Chamber's leadership, business activities, community relationships and institutional accomplishments as it entered a new stage of growth.
2024
During a period of organizational change, PACCLI's General Assembly reaffirmed the use of the established PACCLI name in public communications, reinforcing continuity of the Chamber's identity and mission.
April 2026
After the Board accepted President Andrés Cárdenas's resignation on April 27, Vice President Dr. Elsa-Sofía Morote assumed the presidency. PACCLI publicly announced the transition on April 28, marking her return to the role after previously serving in 2016–2017.

PACCLI celebrates its 20th anniversary while advancing networking, entrepreneurship, education, international trade, strategic partnerships, PACCLI Business Connect and new technology resources for the business community.
